Throughout the EYFS and KS1 we use RWI for the teaching of phonics. Year 1 and 2 children are taught in small ability groups in order for them to access phonics at the appropriate level. In EYFS the children are taught both as a whole class and within smaller groups. Phonics workshops are run during the Autumn term for Reception and Year 1 parents and carers so that they are able to fully support their child at home.
Fresh Start is used as an intervention group in KS2 to help those children who require extra support with phonics.
Oxford Owl (see link below) is a great resource for the correct pronunciation of phonics and has a variety of fun activities and eBooks for your child.
