School trips are an important, and enjoyable, part of the curriculum and are designed to support and enhance the children’s learning. Each class will have at least one trip per year, usually more. Previous trips have included YR to the British Wildlife Centre, Y1 to the London Transport Museum, Y2 to the Horniman Museum, Y3 to Chislehurst Caves and Y4 to Hever Castle. Y5 have a residential trip to Bowles Outdoor Centre and Y6 similarly have a residential visit to the Isle of Wight. We have a number of workshops within school too including Minibeasts, Vikings, K’Nex and CSI! Recent theatre performances in school include the Hobbit and The Mystery of The Big Drip.
The whole school takes part in Health Week each January. This is generously funded via PTA Gift Aid and is a highlight of the school year with activities such as children’s first aid training, YogaBugs, archery, drama workshops, the Life Bus and a Smoothie Bike!
