Keston Church of England Primary School

Year 3

Some aspects of life in the juniors are different to that of KS1 and might take a while to get used to. The transition letter and welcome meeting at the beginning of the year will help to answer any queries you may have about all aspects of life in Year 3.

We continue to follow the National Curriculum and cover a range of interesting and exciting topics such as Mountains, Volcanoes and Earthquakes, Stone Age to Iron Age, Henry VIII, Windrush, Plants, Rocks, Forces and Magnets, Light and learning all about skeletons and muscles!

We will also be producing some imaginative and creative pieces of art, linked to our other curriculum areas, and designing and making our own juggling balls and mechanical posters.

In the Summer Term, Year 3 visit Pizza Express, which links with our cooking DT topic: making bread. We also have trips to Chislehurst Caves and The Tower of London.

We are looking forward to working together so that we can have a very exciting and productive year. We hope that your child will enjoy the new challenges and approaches to learning that Year 3 has to offer.

If you have any questions at all, please email us at y3keston@keston.bromley.sch.uk.
